As part of the Technology Collaboration Program on the “Hybrid & Electric Vehicle” organized by the IEA, a “Knowledge Sharing Workshop” with the organization of dr. Francis Vellucci of ENEA, at the Rome office, in Via Giulio Romano, 41
Gianfranco Rizzo (University of Salerno, eProInn) will hold a presentation entitled “Ecological Reconversion of Conventional Cars: A Short-Term Option Toward Sustainable Mobility” at the IEA, on the theme of the conversion of cars into hybrid-solar vehicles, financed by European LIFE programme.
Work is scheduled to start at 14.30. The agenda of the meeting with the planned interventions is attached. The workshop aims to collect, analyze and disseminate information about the state of research and technological developments, the market, regulations and policies on electric, hybrid and fuel cell vehicles. It will consist of a series of presentations by national stakeholders and delegates from various countries (adherents and not to TCP).
The International Energy Agency is an international intergovernmental organization founded in 1974 by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in order to facilitate the coordination of energy policies of member countries to ensure the stability of energy supplies in order to support economic growth.
Recently the IEA has extended its mandate towards the direction of sustainable development, also dealing with environmental protection and climate change: in this direction are included the meetings of the “Technology Collaboration Program”, a technological collaboration program to support the work independent groups of international experts that allow governments and industries worldwide to conduct programs and projects on a wide range of energy technologies and related issues. The IEA considers these meetings a unique resource for the global transition towards a cleaner energy future.
